Terrible news , one of those actors you were always instantly attracted too , like the late great Warren oates. He had a presence , very rare. RIP compadre.

That's not a bad comparison, as they were both in a lot of movies, and even were leading men in at least one great film each.

91.
Is it just me, or does he seem like he's always been 91?

You could say that, but when you see recent photos, you realize he looked pretty damn old!

I didn't realise he was that old. It means that he was in his 60s when he dated Rebecca de Mornay and Nastassja Kinski!
I should get round to seeing Paris, Texas: one of those "why have I never...?" films.

Marvelous actor. He deserved having such a long and iconic career. I loved his performances in Alien, Paris, Texas, and Twin Peaks. Also, looking forward to seeing Lucky. Perhaps even more so now.

My son and I watched Repo Man a few months ago.
Just the other day, out of nowhere, my son said, "The life of a repo man is always intense."

Re: RIP - Harry Dean Stanton
Even though my own dad was a WWII veteran, it blew my mind when I read that he served in WWII. This is one of the sadder passings for me. I love so many of his movies, and he had this avuncular quality.
