John G. Avildsen RIP

Postby never/ever » 17 Jun 2017, 11:18

Director of such classics as Rocky (for which he received an Oscar), the Karate Kid-movies, 8 Seconds, The Power Of One, Lean On Me and, personal fave, Save The Tiger, passed away aged 81.
Not one that often gets named as influential but I've seen quite a lot of his movies I enjoyed...

Gotta admit, this is still a classic clip.

Sad to see him pass. Rocky was my childhood film. It's still a damn good one, too.

Can't say I know the name, but have seen his films.

1992 The Power of One
1990 Rocky V
1989 The Karate Kid Part III
1989 Lean on Me
1986 The Karate Kid Part II
1984 The Karate Kid
1976 Rocky

Some good films there. R.I.P
