Belgian director, not very prolific (4 films since 1991).
His shtick is multi-layered, mosaic-like comedies tackling the great existential questions.
I consider Toto le Héros, his first feature film, a masterpiece. The second one, The Eight Day, was a bit disappointing, but I've just seen his last one, the Brand New Testament, which is a hoot!
I've yet to see his only English spoken film, Mr. Nobody
