Re: BCB's Top 100 Films Poll (2017 edition) - RESULTS!! #100-45 UP
Really surprised to see The Godfather drop to 36, but Alice in the Cities is a wonderful little film, a welcome entry at 32. Interesting to see the three Fellini films all bunched together like that too. Can't wait for the top twenty!

I'm going to change this back to a normal topic type. I can always sticky it again when or if Al is ready to post, but I don't think any of us want to keep seeing an inactive thread like this at the top of the page.

Indeed, he could text or email the list to someone else and it could be posted (even with pictures) right here.

At what point do we start hunting him down with pitchforks and torches?

Give it a few more weeks. If it's still not happening, I'm going to do a new one.

To be honest, I'm more in favour of the torches and pickforks than the poll. Who's with me?

I still don't see why he can't just email someone the list and they can post it themselves. Do we really need all the pictures?

Re: BCB's Top 101 Films Poll (2017 edition) - RESULTS!! #100-38 UP
Another update is in! Sorry for the delay, there is really no excuse.
Also due to a blunder with the rankings on my part I've updated the positions for the rest of the list. Since the list still ends on a ten-way tie, I'm making the poll cover 101 films instead of the original supposed 100.
I'll be trying to finish off the list through the next two weeks or so.

Excellent. Good to see results again.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Is there any chance you can start putting them up in larger batches? It's very difficult to maintain interest if it's just four or five films then another long wait.

Sure. I am trying to get batches of 7-9 films from now on, though I will probably do the top 10 in two updates of five. I added eight new films this update.

As someone who voted for it, it's a welcome surprise. I'd hate for the list to be clogged up with slow BW art things and Aliens is one of the greatest entertainments the cinema has provided.

I never found it all that entertaining, but it feels like I've never sat down and properly watched it. The last time I saw it I remember being irritated that everything was happening in the dark and I didn't know what was going on.
