I caught her interview with Colbert last night in which she was promoting her Broadway debut in a little-known Chekhov play. She was gorgeous, funny, witty, completely at ease with herself and I was very impressed. I've always appreciated her talent as an actress, even though I don't consider any of her films favorites. I thought she was brilliant as Dylan in I'm Not There., but my favorite of hers is the much smaller Aussie indie flick Little Fish.
So, what do you people think of Ms. Blanchett?

I think she's bright and beautiful and adorable and mighty talented too.
That said, I think I've seen more of her in interviews and such than I have in the movies.

She's alright.
She was excellent in Carol, which I saw a couple of weeks ago.

She was good in Notes on a Scandal although there was a very strong supporting cast and Judi Dench.
Nonsense to the aggressiveness, I've seen more aggression on the my little pony message board......I mean I was told.

She's excellent, I think. Almost always the best thing about any movie she's in. And, as has been said, she is sexy cool as well.

She can act - that's how I judge her. She's damn good, too.

She's fantastic, of course. However, I think of the films in which she's starred in, and how many of them I like and... Eh... Not to say she hasn't had her couple of hits, Blue Jasmine at the very least is a class film.
Also still need to see Carol.

I enjoy her as an actress. She seems to be a nice person.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Great actress.
Stood behind her in a cheese shop recently as she lives quite near me. She is absolutely stunning.

Well don't keep us in suspense! What kind of cheese does she like?
Carol was very, very good, and she was one of the best things about it.

I keep hoping he'll hurry up and get this info out there. She seems like a goat cheese kinda gal.

Re: How do you feel about Cate Blanchett?
I quite like her. I haven't seen her in a lot though. The first thing I saw her in was Oscar and Lucinda, which I really enjoyed. That was a great film and she was excellent in it.
As a geek, of course I loved her as Galadriel....
She was great in I'm Not There honestly, I lreally loved the scene with her and David Cross as Ginsberg.
She was also great in Steve Zissou and Coffee and Cigarettes.
Her role was shit in Pushing Tin, but so was the whole movie...
I never saw Elizabeth or the Shipping News, both of which I meant to see. Elizabeth I just was broke when it played, but Shipping News I was in an anti-Kevin Spacey mode.

To be honest I can't remember. I was a bit flustered just being in her presence as she's absolutely stunning.
