I turned off 'No Country' after ten minutes. No stomach for it.

Fargo, No Country, Big Lebowski are the three best but Inside Llewyn Davis and A Serious Man are the most under-appreciated and easily make up the rest of the top 5.

Theres lots to like in most of them but I find it really hard to love any of them. Its the contrivance that puts me off and the fact that most have a 1 idea plot with lots of frivolous frippery glossing over the rest. They mostly look fabulous though.
I do really like Millers Crossing and Lebowski is one of the best sketch shows you will ever see.

This was my 3. However I love a lot of their stuff: Raising Arizona, Barton Fink. Burn After Reading and Hail Caesar are all favourites. Slightly disappointed with No Country... but it just couldn't compete wiht the book

Also my 3.
Hudsucker is under-rated

No time for True Grit then, eh? No matter...

I see not many of us care for anything in the 21st century save No Country for Old Men. Methinks they've peaked.

The violence? 'cos that certainly bothered me. And I'm not that squeamish.

Yeah I'm not sure what they are referring to really. The dog getting shot?

All the violence was offscreen.

Maybe I don't remember the movie then. Remind me of a violent scene.

He uses the rivetter to blast someone between the eyes. Outside in the road, I think. That really turned my stomach.
