Yeah, well you like all that shit - people getting their heads blown off. As far as I'm concerned it's extremely disturbing.

Just that whole thing with the compressed air canister he carries around - there's always the threat of violence. And it's more sinister than the usual stuff, for obvious reasons.

It's true! I like violence in films. I get why it's disturbing. It's sorta humdrum. He's so cold, disconnected, which is the point of course cos he's Death.

I dunno, my skin's pretty thick, I guess. To me, the gas canister scene wasn't violent.

Well it doesn't have to be that violent to be disturbing. I get that but then I'm pretty much immune to all this shit

I remember Blue Velvet being the same way. People were disturbed by that film in the '80s. It was all Dennis Hopper though, wasn't it? Just like it was Javier Bardem in the Coens film.

I swapped out the Big Lebowski for Brother, Where Art Thou? But definitely Hudsucker Proxy and Fargo.

Almost chose Barton Fink.

And I liked Hail, Caesar more than most, I think.

The violence? 'cos that certainly bothered me. And I'm not that squeamish.

Haven't seen that many, mainly because the ones I did catch came across as stylised and smug.

Prepared to dig deeper at some point, mind. It's just that life's been too short so far....
