One of those "I never watched a full episode." shows. That goes also for Cannon, Ironside, the ones with James Stewart, Andy Griffin and the Perry Mason who turned out to be gay guy.

Same here. I bet I'd enjoy it now, though.

I don't remember even watching a single episode, but boy, that song and those opening credits were seared into my brain. Not that I ever minded. There's a whole Lalo Schrifin goin' on. That bridge is about a mile from where I live, and I don't think I've ever been on it without hearing that song. I think that song lives there, just floating in the air. It's the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Lift Bridge - not very catchy, we just used to call it The Mannix Bridge.

Rule #4 - Ack! You burned the toast again, Mister Race Car Driver, Mister I've Got The Best Theme Ever, Mister Jacket Over Your Shoulder Guy!

I remember watching it some but it was at a point in my life where watching tv with the fam was so square. So I was usually outside or at someone elses's house. There were a lot of cop shows on around that time.

Yeah that was a bummer, wasn't it?
Conversely, Barbara Hale, the actress who played his life long secretary in the series, Della Street passed away yesterday too.

Mannix is a good show -- not as serious as Hawaii Five-O but not as quirky/funny as the Rockford Files. You'd all like it!

There's an episode where the Buffalo Springfield play in the background in a club. Youtube it.

I loved Mannix.

Mike Connors also starred in basketball at UCLA.

Saw that recently.

I didn't watch them at the time, but I like a lot of those old 70s shows now. The music and the fashions are the best part.
