The Americans

I watched the first series and thought that it was good without being compelling. However, over the course of the 2nd and now the 3rd series it has got better, the writing stronger and the acting is first class.
Some of the stories are very implausible but I don't find it matters that much.
Anyone else watching?

I watched the first 2 series back in 2013/2014? and was very impressed but unfortunately it's not being shown on the freeview ITV as it was before.

Puzzling that something which is so much better than so much else on TV and which ITV have paid good money for is then shoved on to ITV Encore. I don't understand TV scheduling sometimes.

Just got my hands on S4. Just gets better and better imho. With season 5 just stared it the US, it's apparently also been renewed for a sixth and final season.
Is there anything on TV to touch it right now?

Season 5 ended a couple weeks ago. It's still quite compelling but a lot less slam-bang-spy action stuff. Usually their season finales have involved either a big cliffhanger or some major new development being hinted at for the future, this was a little different. I can't wait for the final season.
