I had to feel sorry for Tommen at the start. There he is, being made King at a young age (12 or 13, I guess) and you just know that he isn't going to last very long. Seems like a nice lad, too. Shame.

Tywin's great at strategising and planning and out-thinking everyone but seems blinded by his hatred of Tyrion. He lacks some kind of emotional intelligence. He'd be a great case for psychoanalysis.

I'm on tenterhooks.

God, Theon is useless. Sis should have put him out of his misery.

We borrowed the first series from my ex at the weekend, and so far we've watched four or five episodes.

It's quite good so far, but hasn't grabbed me like The Wire, Band of Brothers or The West Wing did.

Would that she had. :(

He isn't useless. He's quite useful to Ramsay Snow.

That scene of Sansa emerging into the courtyard where it had recently snowed was so touching. It made me picture a delicate flower plucked from a northern land, returned to bloom again in the climate in which it thrives. Then the scene turned ridiculous with that silly slap-fight between Robin and Sansa ("you ruined it!" "no, YOU ruined it!" and then creepy with Baelish's "You could have been my daughter" seduction. That Baelish is one cold mofo. Have there been enough jokes about Lysa getting dumped? The push was the kindest part.

Yeah..I thought it was perfect because you feel all this sympathy and heartbreak for her for a moment -- she's exactly like a rare winter bloom or something -- you hit that on the head -- and then just as you're feeling for her plight -- once again she shows that in truth, she's always been incredibly childish, vain and stupid.

There is an interesting comparison to be drawn between the wildly different sisters Lysa and Kate and Sansa and Arya.

Ha. FWIW I don't like the new Daario as much -- better teeth or not. I'm sure I'm not alone in that sentiment,

I just meant I think it's interesting to see how the Tully family genes play out in the Stark girls -- there are similarities that come through better in the TV show than they did in the books between Sansa and Lysa - both jealous, small minded, focused solely on themselves and incredibly vain vs Arya and Kate who are both strong, strategic thinkers, who are determined and fierce.

I was never a Sansa fan myself, but slapping that brat Robin seemed a step in the right direction. Maybe her forced tutelage to Littlefinger (and even Joffrey) will ultimately benefit her, as Arya's forced tutelage to The Hound is giving her the survival skills she needs.

What's going on with Baelish's accent? It's mayhem: out of control. It sounds different every time he speaks. Was he going for some kind of pirate thing last week?

Maybe he's going for some "my accent is all over the place because I'm hiding my roots as a low-born" thing?

As good an actor as Dinklage is, his clipped British accent is pretty dreadful too. Im beginning to think he's adopted it now as a thing in itself rather than try and improve it over the years.
