We might be going off line shortly.
It appears that my monthly cheque to our hosting providers has somehow got lost in the post. As today is the deadline for payments, we may get cut off tomorrow morning if the cheque doesn't arrive by then. Apparently the payment system will automatically do this. I suspect that it's just caught up in a backlog due to both Christmas and the weather.
I'm contacting the provider now to see what we can do about it. In the meantime, prepare for the worst.

Well, I would call them if I could get through. The main support number isn't responding.
They did go through an office move a week or two ago. I wonder if the phone number has changed.
EDIT: I've now sent through an E-mail requesting clarification of the situation.

Wew!
I was worried that I'd have to start using Facebook more often.

But how can 10,000 copycat threads be posted if the board goes down?

I have a brilliant idea, I just patented it:
We can temporarily go to: www.gloriousnoise.com
Good, innit?

On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

For a laugh I had a look. It's still orange and still mostly populated by Jake.

There was an outage just then for about an hour and a quarter.
I originally thought it was us being cut off, but apparently someone working on making the server faster made a mistake which broke our site, and presumably all others.

To be fair they never know what hit them. Especially poor Jake. They had their nice little corner of the internet and all of a sudden all these strange people showed up out of nowhere. Can you imagine how BCB would react if that happened to us? We were frosty to the Q people at first when they came over here and most of us were already familiar with them. Still, there were a lot of funny moments during our brief stay at Glono. My favorite was the time Goldwax started a NOW PLAYING thread in spite of Jake's protests and titled it NOW PLAYING (except for Jake). Griff's Wylie thread was hilarious too.
