PM Dramas?

Postby The Red Heifer » 08 Jul 2010, 22:33

Everytime I try and send one it goes straight to a 403 screen, and disables my use of the board for a while. Is this just me?

It could be a built in anti-spam filter kicking in, which is being triggered by your PM content. I may be able to disable it - let me know the exact time it happens the next time you try.

Okay the 403 screen only comes up when I have BB code in the PM. Does that help?

I've just removed another anti-spam rule. This one was being triggered by posting of multiple URLs. Hopefully this will fix things.

I seen what's happening - the upgrade changed the way the rules get disabled during the upgrade, so the old mechanism for disabling rules no longer works.

I'll find out how the system works and update it accordingly.

They've changed the webserver security module to a later version, which breaks the syntax of the old commands. I've tried their replacement but that just disables the whole site, so it appears that they've disabled the option to disable these rules.
