I've been made aware of an issue with the search mechanism. If you search for posts from a particular user using the advanced search form, the search results may not be correct.

This will be rectified in the next minor upgrade to phpBB, version 3.0.2, whenever that appears.

three letter words don't appear in the search, where you aware of this?

Yes, it's a limitation of the full-text indexing mechanism used by the back-end MySQL database. Four character words are the minimum allowed.


As for this particular fix, the first release candidate of version 3.0.2 appeared this weekend. This means that if testers can't find any major bugs or problem with the software, then we should see the final version of 3.0.2 within about 2 weeks, if not sooner.
