I simply cannot fathom why Manchester United gave Liverpool the respect they so do not deserve today , seriously?

It is what Mourinho does.

Good to see that diving is going to be dealt with retrospectively with a ban, but you can blatantly kick an opponent twice, with crystal clear video evidence, and get no action taken against you.

Probably why Lukaku moved.

City players go down very easily according to aul Jose. He just gave away part of his plan for tomorrow, they're obviously gonna be more physical than usual.

I think everyone in the world worked out the gameplan some time ago using the tried-and-tested method.

Jose Mourinho + Top-class opposition = Bus well and truly parked

He is just doing what he always does and trying to get his team an advantage by planting ideas in the referee’s mind or those of the opposing players. The world knows that a man who employs Ashley Young and Marcus Rashford is not to be taken seriously when he talks about opponents diving.
Thing is, he’s got such a reputation now that I wouldn’t be surprised if it backfired and made some refs more likely to give free kicks against United as they are so fed up of his antics.

It's bloody cold in Manchester today so hats off to those players in short sleeves

Surely taking their hats off will only make them colder?

They're not bald like me so there's a bit of natural insulation.

Or then again, United are getting all the decisions so far (though Jesus should have been booked for that dive). Walker booked but not Matic? Walker given a talking to for creeping forward at a throw when earlier Valencia snuck a whole thirty yards? Kompany penalised for a perfect slide tackle?

It's got a united one nil win from their long ball game written all over it.

Sometimes a result comes along that the whole of the footballing world can 'unite' behind..... Bristol City winning last night was one such result. Deep down, I think even the Man U fans enjoyed that. Because, incredibly, Bristol City were the better team and fully deserved that victory!

Great performance by Bristol last night , good game, full of that old cup drama . It is the reason I love football , you just never know what will happen next.

Oh and the sight of Mourinho repeatedly labelling Bristol 'lucky' sunk lower than I thought was possible, even for him.
