Mirallas already gone, Lennon to Burnley it seems.

Well that's three points from the last six league games. We'll be back in a relegation battle before we know it.

Another coaching masterclass yesterday versus Arsenal.

Oh, and the 'throwing the team under the bus because it sure as shit isn't any of my fault' post match schtick is tired already.

You clueless cunt.

Arsenal were fucking fabulous it has to be said though. There's a lot of talk about Aaron Ramsey hating Sanchez - he certainly seemed to come alive last night.

Of course they were.

It's easy to look fabulous when the 'team' you're playing basically does everything wrong and makes every wrong decision possible for the first 45 minutes.

I think Allardyce will probably be gone in the summer.

Well he came to do a job, and given how bad we looked under Unsworth he sort of did, but at no point did I or anyone else (apart from Griff obviously) ever think that he's a permanent solution. It's just a matter of safely finishing the season and then trying to figure out what's next. Once you start firing managers it's crapshoot on what comes next. We once thought Bobby was the solution and that didn't turn out great either.

At our worst with Martinez, we were no worse than we have been in accumulating six points in the last eight games. And at least we were trying to play football, which is something we most certainly aren't ever likely to be accused of with this neanderthal in charge.

He can't have it all ways - you either insist on playing football and hope that gains you enough points (and kudos) to remain in your job. Or you play practically and gain points, and fuck the kudos. What you can't do is not play football and not gain points - and that's precisely what Allardyce's team is doing at the present moment.

I don't disagree Pete, but realistically this is who Allardyce is. I don't expect him anything more from him and this year is gone anyway. If we keep him past this summer then I'll start worrying.

I can’t believe old Kenwright hasn’t given Peter the job. First signing, once he’s been told to grow up, a fully firing Paul Pogba.

The comments below the line on the match report in the Guardian (https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... tch-report) suggest BFS is hated more than Wenger is by the stalwarts of AFTV. Several suggest it was a mistake to move on Bobby Martinez

:) The first, although there's plenty more that could fit. All the btl commentators call him that

I think we'll stay up, purely because we realistically need only four points (probably) from the last nine games. Our home form is good enough to get them, hopefully.

But the long term is dire, if we stick with Allardyce. We need to admit he's not the man to move us on, and recover from a (frankly) disastrous season. The fans didn't want him and they most certainly aren't going to want him around at the start of next season. Losing regularly is bad - but losing and playing like a Sunday morning pub team, is unforgivable.

There is nothing here I've not said prior to his appointment, of course.
