Not for the first time in his career, Adam Peaty has broken his own 100m breaststroke world record, retaining his European title in Glasgow earlier today.

The 23-year-old Olympic and world champion finished in 57.00 seconds, knocking 0.13sec off the time he set and won gold at 2016's Rio Olympics.

See him go.
Adam Peaty has once again broken his own world record, this time in the men’s 100 metre breaststroke at the World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea to win in 56.88 seconds.

In doing so, Uttoxeter-born Peaty achieved one of his career goals of becoming the first man to break the 57-second barrier in the event.
