As a game it was less exciting than many others we've seen, and I'd argue Belgium-Brazil had a bit more quality. Belgium weren't quite at their best and, as GB said, in the end France won reasonably comfortably.

I'm trying not to get too blase, but I'm not really that worried about Croatia. They don't appear to have many goals in them.
I hope I'm not tempting fate here! ;)

Rather ungracious in my opinion.

I didn't see the Croatia Russia game but I feel Croatia may have peaked too early whereas England are bubbling up at the right time.

I have doubts over that defense and can see England exploiting it and the tiredness could really be an issue - if it goes to extra time I would heavily fancy England. On the plus side Croatia could dominate midfield if they get the balance right and that will be key for them. If they can maintain discipline, defend well at set pieces and not give away too may fouls in the final third they could triumph but I really feel they have to win it in 90mins.

Let's face it, if you're a neutral you want Croatia to win. I think it would be really great if they made the final. Sorta like some kind of reward for '98 when they came so close with a superior side.

Yes very - and quite surprising (and unwarranted).

I'm the same. If Croatia had been able to defeat either Denmark or Russia in normal time I would have been rather more fearful.

They have some excellent players but at the same time they will be shitting it when we attack. Lots of players on yellow cards and when it hits the 75 minute mark bringing on Rashford could be crucial.

For the first time I'm beginning to feel confident that we can reach the final.

Argentina were one of the worst 'big' teams at the tournament. Couldn't defend and had shit goalkeepers.

Cards were wiped after the quarters (apart from suspensions incurred then).

Brozovic starts for Croatia. Big game for Henderson. If they lose the centre of the park they could be in trouble

Both Chelsea players, with form for talking smack and being sore losers.

set piece

What the fuck is wrong from scoring from set pieces?

especially when they are that good

I think England would struggle to come from behind, so that is good, having said that I think they'll struggle to hold a lead as well, so best get another one

Some of our defending looks very nervy.

I thought Croatia were supposed to be knackered after two extra time matches. Why did no one tell them?
