But still their defence looks way better than LA. Puig jogging to the ball after missing it first up and then realising there's a go-ahead run progressing was dreadful.

Yeah, they stranded about a dozen guys.

He will be one of those names people remember if the Astros win.

Believe me, Cody Ross will never have to buy a drink or a meal in San Francisco.

That was poor managing that lost that game. We should've won.

:D :x

Every Astro fan in the world who has watched this team for more than the last two games said . . . Devenski looks ok. Let's see if we can get another inning out of him! In walks Giles. :(

Nice work, Dodgers. Hasta manana.

Wow, that was a painful loss.

It's become a war of attrition between the bullpens. What was a strength for us has become a weakness due to overuse. Great plan, poor execution.

And Kershaw now has several excellent postseason starts under his belt, but he also has too many bad ones to ignore too. Once again we're in the position of putting pressure on a few people to do it all. They've all wilted at least once now.

I believe LA is fully capable of winning 2 games at home. Whether they do it or not is a different story, but it certainly could happen.

And either way, they at least made it. So even worst case scenario is our best season in years. Doesn't make it any less nerve-wracking to watch it go down, but it's already a magical season however it ends.

I think the couple things this series has proven is that either team is capable and anything can happen because of that.

Rich Hill could pull a perfect game out of his ass and I wouldn't be surprised.

Maybe a little.

Yeah, I might allow myself to feel pretty good about tonight. But I’m sure most Dodger fans felt pretty good going into Game 5. So I won’t. I really don’t want to have to follow Game 7 from an airplane. But who thinks about NOVEMBER baseball when booking flights in April?

Dodgers to win next two games. I've just backed them at 2.25 to 1.

Houston let LA off the hook, stranding way way way too many runners and otherwise choking at the plate. So Game 7 tomorrow. According to Buck & Smoltz, LA feels like they'll win. Maybe they will, but I don't think anyone who has watched this series can be sure of anything except that the Astro Bullpen will give up runs it shouldn't. I hope it's bananas and that our offense comes unhinged. Again. They have won all year by scoring more runs than the bullpen allows, but most teams they face aren't as good as the Dodgers (it really chaps me that they're in such a shitty division). The Astros have made me very very happy but I've gotten a little greedy over the last few games and really want to win now. We'll see!

Momentum has changed so many times this series. I feel like the Dodgers have a slight edge in an “all hands on deck” situation, but they’re constantly a bad pitch or bad at bat away from reversing it. Either way, a series for the ages.

I read an amazing stat before I put that bet on - of the last 10 teams to hold homefield advantage for the last two matches, who are 3-2 down in the series, 8 went on to win the World Series.

The Dodgers got the first part done.

They have the same slight edge they’ve always had, more reliable pitching. Most of the Houston pitchers can be great, but most often aren’t. You’re right, though. An incredible series.

That's the way I read it too. This series deserved a game 7.

Hopefully, neither of you guys will have to go through what I did last game 7 for the Giants. Ball hit to outfield, center fielder misses it, back up muffs it, yet they don't send the runner and he holds at third. I thought I was going to die.

Lucky for Giants, they have the anti-Kershaw in Bumgarner.

I heard a stat that it's something like 18-19 for home teams in game 7. It's toss up.

Saw this on Twitter with the caption, "The last time the Dodgers were in a WS game 7, this guy was on the mound."

From the MLB site :

"Since 1985, teams down 3-2 in any best-of-seven series have come back to win 19 of 56 times (33.9 percent). In that span, teams going home down 3-2 win series half the time, 14 of 28. Interestingly enough, when they win Game 6, they're 14-2 in Game 7. That suggests that it behooves Houston to end this on Tuesday."

Congrats Houston. Great win today. A weird and wonderful series that both teams in the end deserve to win but this time LA left too many runners stranded.
Glad to see Kershaw redeeming himself a bit today. Morton was ice tonight.

Well, it was still a magical season. And I'm keeping 2017 in my signature. National League Champions! It's not enough, but it's surely something - their best finish in 29 years. And we'll be back soon enough.

The bottom line - the teams played pretty evenly, but Hinch out-managed Roberts. And Darvish helped get us there, but I think his TWO poor performances in the WS pretty much cinched that the Dodgers will not be re-signing him.
