Darvish had nothing last night and Roberts didn't help by letting him pitch to Springer that second time. Talk about shutting the barn door after the horse had left.
I knew the Dodgers were done by the look Darvish had after the error at first base. He looked back twice to see who was backing him up and no one was there.
I'm probably one of the only people in America besides his family who has followed Charlie Morton's career. Came up with the Braves as a straight up fastballer, went to Pittsburgh and learned to pitch and then 9, count 'em, 9, stints on the DL besides he showed up with the Astros. And he was throwing 96 - 97 mph almost every pitch.
Good job, Astros, and congrats to Mike and Mike. I know how it feels when you're team never won and it wins its first world series. I'm not ashamed to say I cried when the Giants won in 2010 after 2002's meltdown against the Angels. I had resigned myself that they'd never win anything in my lifetime and when they did, it was wonderful.
Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk!
