Interestingly enough, when they win Game 6, they're 14-2 in Game 7. That suggests that it behooves Houston to end this on Tuesday."

So much for stats :(

Congrats to the Astros!

Darvish had nothing last night and Roberts didn't help by letting him pitch to Springer that second time. Talk about shutting the barn door after the horse had left.

I knew the Dodgers were done by the look Darvish had after the error at first base. He looked back twice to see who was backing him up and no one was there.

I'm probably one of the only people in America besides his family who has followed Charlie Morton's career. Came up with the Braves as a straight up fastballer, went to Pittsburgh and learned to pitch and then 9, count 'em, 9, stints on the DL besides he showed up with the Astros. And he was throwing 96 - 97 mph almost every pitch.

Good job, Astros, and congrats to Mike and Mike. I know how it feels when you're team never won and it wins its first world series. I'm not ashamed to say I cried when the Giants won in 2010 after 2002's meltdown against the Angels. I had resigned myself that they'd never win anything in my lifetime and when they did, it was wonderful.

Congrats to the Astros! Glad to see them win after what happened to the city from the hurricane.
Sort of reminded me of The Saints winning the super bowl the year after Katrina.

I thought Molitor and Lovullo were good choices for manager of the year. And Scherzer and Kluber for Cy Young - not unexpected.

Seriously thinking about getting this t-shirt. I might not even cut off the sleeves. . .

Not enough good players in 60 years in SF? They had to use a bunch of players that played in New York?

Great idea for a shirt, but doing that ruins it for me.

I wish they had an emoji for "stickler."

It might have had to do with design whey they chose "Ott" or "Mize," for example, over Fuentes or Dietz or Montefusco or Manwaring.

I could think of a bunch of SF era players to put on there.

Christy Mathewson died in 1925. It's not a Giants shirt, it's a San Francisco shirt. It's quite possible some of the players on that shirt never set FOOT in San Francisco.

There's being a stickler and then there's insisting on a modicum of fact-checking.

And yes, I'd say the same thing if there was a Los Angeles shirt that featured Dazzy Vance and Wee Willie Keeler.

Oooh, "modicum." Guess you won then.

It's just a fucking t-shirt.

And you don't have to wear it. If you don't want to be seen with me while I'm wearing it, i'll understand. I wouldn't want to offend your modicum fact checking sensibilities.

Yes, everyone needs a T-shirt that says "this link is not available." :P

Maybe they used the same criteria as when they looked for great players that actually played in San Francisco?

One last thing - Dave, you managed to sour a not very serious post on t-shirts with your sticklerism and I don't think I'll post on this thread anymore.

There ya go, buddy.
