"excuse me old chap, do you mind if I run you out?"
We didn't lose. The "if it didn't happen in Australia it didn't happen" rule applies.

PENK wrote:It's bizarre, although not entirely unexpected given Pakistan's reputation for incompetence between the wickets. I think it was pretty unsportsmanlike of Australia given that they could see the batsmen thought the ball was dead.
I don't think Pakistan will be too bothered, though, given that they are about to complete a thumping victory in the match!
This reminds me of the Bell dismissal against India in 2012 although a lot funnier.
He got recalled at the time by Dhoni and the commentators were praising him, but Bell was a complete twat and the crowd played no little part in putting pressure on Dhoni to do the 'sportsmanlike' thing. Thankfully we were spared of that this time.

Always good to see the Aussies get mullered. Doesn't matter who by.

Re: The International Cricket Thread (excl England)
I don’t watch the IPL (hate almost everything about it in fact) but they really really need to think hard about this Mankading thing.
R Ashwin - never liked the tosser.
Royals coach said - “I think we'll leave it up to the IPL fans to decide if that's the kind of things they want to see, and we'll leave it up to the cricket world to judge R Ashwin's actions tonight. But for us, we're certainly here to play cricket and entertain the fans and be good role models for people who love the game."
Oooof!
Rather than being run out I think a penalty of 2 runs would suffice.

Got no problem with it.
Batsmen need to learn not to take off too early.

Buttler didn't take off too early. Ashwin was through his delivery leap before Buttler's bat left the crease: Buttler only left the crease once he thought the ball was in the air. Ashwin pulled out of the delivery to mankad him.
The replay at 1:20 here shows it most clearly:

Looking at it closely I can understand why Buttle was so aggrieved. Ashwin certainly seems to be stopping halfway through his stride when Buttler isn't looking.

To be very impolite, an absolute cunt's trick by Ashwin. Cynical twat.

A long read but worthwhile. Doubt Jarrod Kimber will be getting many Aussie interviews this summer!
