I no nothing about baseball but I like seeing sports fans celebrating a victory they're not accustomed to. Which is an understatement in this case.
Nice one, Cubs.

Feel sad for the Native Americans though, I loved the first two major league films.

Re: Baseball - Cleveland or Chicago?
It's strange waking up in a world where the Chicago Cubs are world series champs.
Heard some great stories. One, a man drove from Chicago to his dad's grave in Virginia to listen to the game on his radio with his dead father who was a huge Cubs fan and passed it down to his son. Bryant smiling at the ground ball even before he fielded it and Rizzo immediately placing the last out ball in his back pocket as a keepsake.
My one critique is that Maddon tried placing his signature on the game in a couple ways, one by pulling Hendricks, and two, by bunting with two strikes. The Chapman move from the game before bit him in the ass like it should've. He had some great calls too, like sending Bryant on a short fly, but overall, he got bailed out by his players' talent last night.

Agree completely with all of this. Maddon's a great manager generally, but he let the pressure get to him - he out-thought himself several times in the series. But as I've been saying all along, they're so clearly the best team in the majors right now by a longshot. They always live up to it in the end.

Me and Yomps visit to Wrigley obviously broke the curse.

way back in April, a smart guy wrote:I of course worry more about the Giants in even-numbered years, but I don't think the best team in MLB is on the west. I honestly think it's the Cubs. Anything can happen, of course, but they're the team to beat.

I saw it too. Hopefully, he can come out from hiding.
The Cubs parade of 5 million people attending is the 7th largest public gathering of people the earth has ever seen, apparently.

Away and tell someone that gives one single solitary fuck about what you think. A wee clue, nobody on here does.

Be sure to let us know when you find the single solitary soul who gives a fuck about what you think. Last I heard your mother was still in the undecided column.

Oh no, I'm crying into my lager. You've really cut me to the quick with those barbed comments. And I've laddered my tights. What a dork.
