I’m pretty nervous about tonight. Liverpool clutch defeat from the jaws of victory too often for me to ever feel complacent. An early goal from Roma and I’ll be bricking it. An away goal is essential I feel.

I don't see Liverpool failing to score and I don't see Liverpool conceding five.

That was way more nerve wracking than it should have been. Roma should have had 2 penalties too but the penalty that was given was very, very harsh. Phew!

Can teams even defend any more?

Over two legs I'd fancy them but in a one off?

I dunno. I'd favour Liverpool...just

Real will sit back and wait until Liverpool are knackered. They know exactly what to do to win. I guess Liverpool's hope is that Marcelo in particular doesn't really know how to defend.

I can see that but I also believe in destiny and fate and there's something that tells me this is Liverpool's year.

Of course Liverpool will have to play a LOT better in the final and I'm sure they will. RM look very beatable but you can bet they will work on their tactics to deal with Liverpool. They'd be well advised to play more like Stoke or West Brom rather than Man City or Roma.

Liverpool tired noticeably from an hour or so last night. That has to be a concern.

But.... they still scored two and that will always be their 'insurance'. They'll score against Real, no doubt, and if they can get two - which is entirely possible- they'll force Madrid to come out and chase the game. Which will be perfect for Liverpool.

Marcelo is a key player - going both ways. Most of their threat going forward comes from his side but he's a very soft target defensively. Alexander-Arnold and Milner may well have to shut him down effectively to stop Real, but you'd seriously expect Liverpool to somehow isolate Marcelo one on one going backwards - which should reap rewards for Liverpool.

Liverpool are over 2/1 to win 90 minutes - that seems like great value from a betting point of view.

Liverpool don't really have much quality coming off the bench, unless either Can or Lallana get fit between now and the final. I think that could be a key factor.

Good to see Buffon charged.

Acted like a spoilt child at the time and seems unable to acknowledge the error of his ways.

Chuck the fucking book at the twat.

They won’t.

If Liverpool score a brace early on then they are in it.

If not, then Real's quality from the bench will be decisive.

I've backed Liverpool to win it in 90 minutes - so if they win, I win and if Real win, I'm ecstatic! :)

I have to go along with Toby, if Liverpool don't make an impact early on they're probably doomed. I'm as nervous as hell for this game, a 3am kick off for me but I'll be down at a bar to watch it which will be full of Liverpool fans I expect as not many RM fans in HK.

Oddly I'm not at all concerned. Not at all nervous & not expecting to win, think our midfield could well be overwhelmed. TAA will be targeted & he'll need a lot of support - will Salah be able to provide enough cover?

RM have huge amounts of experience and can probably manage a game better than us. Best hope will be a dynamic start (for us) and a handful of goals. Dread the 80 minute Klavan for Salah substitution to see the game out.
