I gave Chelsea a chance for some reason, but Barca were always gonna win.

Never feel sorry for Chelsea. They deserve nothing but your contempt.

Barcelona v Roma

Sevilla v Bayern Munich

Juventus v Real Madrid

Liverpool v Manchester City

Fuck right off!!!!
Very early predictions.

Barca
Bayern
Real ( barely) - This is the wildcard of the whole draw I reckon.
Liverpool - Have to support your own.

Liverpool having Everton and then a CL tie is going to hurt, but they can still beat City. It'll be a cracking tie.

Barca have to be favourites, but Real are improving at precisely the right time.

Why?

FFS, we haven't turned up against Liverpool in a decade. And I truly mean that. I'm sure Liverpool think Everton before the CL is a fucking rest .

Aye it'll be tight enough with that run of games. I think Pool-City is the tie of the round. I can foresee plenty of goals in general.

Real, Barcelona and Bayern into the semis again, then. At this point I'm actually hoping that City win it just because I'm so bored of the usual suspects.

Preposterous goal from Ronaldo just now though.

Wasn't it just? I know he's a bit of a knob but, fucking hell, he's such a good player.

We truly are blessed to have had him and Messi at the same time.

And credit to the Juve fans for giving him a standing ovation too.

Real to win it I think. If you can go to Juventus and win 3-0 it says an awful lot about just how good your team is.

The romantic in me says that Liverpool will win 3-2 tonight but it won't be enough over the two legs.

I read yesterday Klopp has the most wins against Guardiola as a manager - five apparently.

If Liverpool can keep this up and keep City out then that will represent real progress for them.

There is usually a dip there so we'll see

Very similar to the January game actually, except this time there was no City comeback. Klopp has certainly shown this is the way to play this City side, make the game very fast paced and force them in their own half -the only problem is 99% of teams aren't anywhere near dynamic and attacking enough to accomplish this.

That is a phenomenal result for Liverpool.

Unusually for Guardiola, I think he may have blinked first, in not picking Sterling. Odd decision, especially with Aguerro unavailable.

Liverpool were phenomenal.

Still, it's not over, but City are playing the worst side to attack in the next leg.

Klopp getting VVD when he could have easily gone to an elite side is surely an example of how magnetic he is as a personality.

By the same token though, Liverpool are probably the unlikeliest team to set up (and be able) to defend a lead.... I would hope (for Liverpool's sake) they don't try to, but play their own game, with a slightly more cautious approach.

The tie is far from over but it wouldn't shock me if Liverpool get an away win in the return leg.
