We're 25 points behind City in 4th place. That's a fucking crazy gap between 1st and 4th. I can't see it being the same next season. We've all must have learned a way to lessen City's attacking force somehow for next season.

Wonder if big Sam is in for the WBA or Swansea job now. I can see WBA not minding too much with the hire, Swansea not so much.

I'm not sure Moyes leaving is good for West Ham. He did well, considering the state of the squad, a large number of injuries and the toxic atmosphere at the ground. He had faith in Arnautovic, who pretty much kept us up with some very important goals. We did get turned over a few times by the big clubs, which I guess is the sort of thing the owners really don't want anymore.

It might be that Moyes didn't want to renew his contract, which is fair enough. I hope he gets a good job elsewhere. Not sure about the potential new manager - looks like it might be Fonseca from Shakhtar. To be honest I'm sure lots of managers are looking at West Ham in the same way they looked at the England job recently.

EDIT - looks like Fonseca turned them down. Apparently Emery in the mix. That would be a steal.

Surprised by that, thought he was worth a punt.

Why? What did Paul Lambert actually do to suggest he warranted a contract? His Stoke record - P15 W2 D6 L7.

His overall record as a manager is a win rate of 38%.

He's a dull, lifeless, uninspiring damp squib in front of the press.

I think he was very fortunate to be given yet another chance at the top level - and he flopped dismally, yet again.
