Hasn't been 'The Premiership' for about 10 years now, it's 'The Premier League'.

The only 'Premiership' in top level English sport is in egg chasing.

Yeah it's absolutely ridiculous. He was a decent Premier League player last year but twice the price quoted for City's Nolito transfer? Surely they could do some serious scouting and bring in four players for that money with the likelihood of at least two being international quality - which Deeney isn't.

Mane to Liverpool for ridiculous money. First thoughts are he's not worth it, but time will tell I guess.

Shit load of players being bought and sold for stupid money, I guess we're just following the trend. 2 or 3 more players and we would have had 11 ex Southampton team.

Basically, the new TV deal. Lot of Prem clubs are swimming in it. Even Dear Mr Levy (who has made a profit or broken even over the last six years, the only top-flight club to do so may buy a couple of benchwarmers this summer.

Yep, for a third of the price of Mane. He's a red card waiting to happen in my view, so I hope he's been brought in as back-up to Dier rather than as a midfield partner. I suspect they will get in a forward and are apparently sniffing around a 30-year-old Islander at centre half. I don't see that many moving out, though, unless it's fringe players such as Carroll, Mason, Bentaleb or N'Jie

Premiership clubs have already spent around £350 million in the transfer window and it's expected to rise to about £850 million by the end.

From today's Guardian:
Meanwhile, Arsenal plan to offer £42m and Oliver Giroud for Gonzalo Higuaín; it is thought that Napoli will hold out for £42m.

Kante to Chelsea for £30 million.

I'm beginning to really like Chelsea at 6/1 to win the League - certainly more appealing than Man City at 5/2, Man Utd at 7/2 and Arsenal at 6/1......

Sad to see Kante and also probably Mahrez go. I thought they might have a go at the Champion's League with Leicester at least.

Sadly I think Leicester may well be a one season wonder.... certainly if Mahrez goes, they've lost two of their three pillars of strength from last season. That's going to be tough - especially as teams will not be caught unawares by them again, and the demands of Europe.

I know we shouldn't write them off but...it's not looking good...

I've backed Chelsea at 6/1. They represent outstanding value in a league where so many unknowns will be in play this season.
