Thunder's year.
I kept thinking "swim as far as you can, swim as far as you can".

Lebron seems to be embracing the european offence in cleveland from the friendly i seen against the heat. If he stick with it during the season is the big one.

He played at Princeton for Pete Carril, who was famous for his motion offense, and would regularly frustrate more athletic teams during the NCAA tournament.

After Princeton, Carril was an NBA assistant coach, most notably in Sacramento when Chris Webber, Vlade Divac, Mike Bibby and Stojakovic played together.

Nothing European about it.

He basically coached in europe all his career. Just because he played under a coach doesn't mean he adopted his offence.

A recent quote from the coach himself. . .

"The Princeton offense by design is based on ball movement, reading over plays, making good cuts, passing the ball on time and trying to play more than just running plays," Blatt said following Monday practice. "The way we want to play with this group is giving them the chance to read and react, make good decisions and try to play off the defense as much as possible."

Did Europe invade New Jersey?

Oh, he's taken it.

It's sad to the two-time MVP go out this way. He didn't score any points last year when he shut it down and asked if he was going to hang 'em up or take the $9 million next year. His response of "What do you think - I'm taking the money?" didn't score a whole lotta points.

What's going to happen is the Lakers will waive him in March, when they're allowed to, and he'll fade off into the sunset. He makes his home in LA, supposedly, and doesn't want to try and play anywhere else, nor should he. The guy is 40 or close to.

Getting back into NBA shape is hard enough when you're younger. The Pacers asked Reggie Miller to come back when he had only been recently retired - he said he thought about it but the training would be too hard. And if anybody could've come back, it would have been Reggie Miller.

Is that anything new? I'm willing to bet secretly they're counting the days until he retires.

How do you think state are going to do this year?

I’m quietly confident we can at least challenge for a play off spot. Please note the word “challenge”, not get a playoff spot.

Many predict them second in the Pacific after the Clippers, which sounds right.

So much is based on injuries - can the Warriors take losing any of their starting guards or big men?

Although he's still out with an injury, they signed Shawn Livingston, a good backup, and they have a competent back up for Iguodala in Brandon Rush, although his injury history is iffy too.

In pre-season, they're scoring at a really good clip and Kerr brought in Alvin Gentry as his offensive guru (stole him from Doc Rivers).

They're including Bogut more in the offense, which will be good.

Kerr has inserted the triangle, with some old Jerry Sloan Utah offense along with Popovich schemes.

We will see, but they should be exciting offensively - they've got a lot of weapons. Klay Thompson sure elevated his game in the World Championships and played a lot for Coach K.

Warriors the only undefeated team left. I've never had this feeling of expectation with them before.

Not any more. Phoenix cleaned their clocks in the fourth quarter.

Klay Thompson was out with a hand sprain and you could really see how important he is to them this year. They play San Antonio on Tuesday.

The guy to keep your eye on is Draymond Green. He had another good game last night and is replacing David Lee, who has a hamstring strain, pretty admirably.
