Let's hope they hire two coaches called Charlie Unwin and Neil Taylor then....

We're linked with Negredo. Thought he did very well at City and was unfortunate to be shipped off .

the deal for song has dragged on due to his injury. as long as it isn't serious, then it is a signing gifted from the Gods.

I am though, and I'm loving it. 35% possession, two shots on target, two up.

So we can't beat either Leicester or Bournemouth at home but we can beat both Arsenal and Liverpool away. Eccentric start by Bilic.

Yeah, you're totally schizophrenic. Who knows how you'll perform in the next game. Great win today though.

I've read a couple of pundits suggesting that many teams are becoming more effective away from home because the counter is such a valuable weapon in modern football.

It's hardly a new tactic!
Palace have been playing that way for a while now. They play with proper, pacey wingers with Bhoulassi and Zaha. Really refreshing to see.

We are seeing a more attacking premiership generally though. The three promoted teams are all very attacking whereas the prevailing school of thought used to be that promoted sides should try and be very solid defensively and try nick draws and single goal wins. I think Swansea lead the way a few years ago, Leicester stuck to their guns in playing a pretty open attacking game and eventually it paid off for them. I hope the newly promoted sides are similarly rewarded.

No but it seems a lot of teams have refined it more following the lead of the Bayern and Dortmund sides of a few years ago. A more strategic, incisive and creative variant.

Payet is a strong contender for signing of the season so far, alongside Crystal Palace's Sako.

Busy deadline day - Moses, Song, Jelavic and Antonio. I think Jelavic might do a handy job under Bilic - he's one of those players who can grab goals, but can understand why many thought it was a bit of an underwhelming signing. Moses and Song will probably do alright for us - the latter is obviously never going to be fully fit but he can pass the ball and then some when he is. Not seen much of Antonio but he's obviously been OK for Forest.

His goalscoring record in the prem is poor and it's a poor signing.
