Washington beat Univ. of Utah, 10-3, last night in Pac 12 Championship. I watched for awhile, but it was extremely boring.

How about dem Crimson Tide!
Must've felt so good for Jalen Hurts to get redemption and get the winning touchdown....after trailing for most of that game.
Georgia totally don't deserve to drop out of championship contention on the back of that game but they will, on the back of two losses and the lesser strength of their schedule compared to Oklahoma and Ohio State. The Sooners looked better infinishing off Texas than Ohio State did against Northwestern. It boils down to who would be able to beat an Alabama-side that looks incredible on both sides of the ball. Georgia put the thumbscrews on Bama from the start and I would love to see them have another crack at them- for me they have a better chance than Notre Dame or Oklahoma to beat them.

Christ.

He's being interviewed tomorrow on ESPN.

What a punch to the gut. The Chiefs are so much fun to watch and Hunt is a star.

It was a great game. But Georgia doesn't get into the college playoffs, Oklahoma does. I think that's a crime the way Georgia kept up with "Bama.

Mike McCarthy gets sacked as Green Bay HC after their home defeat to the (poor) Cardinals yesterday.

I think this has been on the cards (ho hum) for some time - it's clear that he & Rodgers had serious differences around the play calling for quite some time. I'm certain he'll be picked up very quickly by some other side.... Cleveland seems like a gilt edged opportunity at present and may be a very decent fit.

There were some strange games (and results) games yesterday. The Jags shutting out the Colts finished that streak unexpectedly, the Giants beating the Bears in overtime put paid to that one too. The Chargers got a great victory over The Steelers on the road too. The Rams won in Detroit but not really convincingly - that does give them the home field spot throughout the playoffs... as long as they keep winning.

The Texans smashed the Browns - they're now at 9 wins in a row. They may just be the team for the AFC.

Cam throwing 4 interceptions was a shocker too.

McCarthy's firing is a little bit unexpected, though the rumblings had been there for a few months now. I'd expected Todd Bowles or Marvin Lewis to be sacked before him.

On top of that shocking missed pass to win the game last week, I think it's clear there's either something wrong with him physically or mentally.... he was simply terrible yesterday and I could have made the pass he needed to make to win the game last week.

I'm just amazed at the quality of receivers he has at his disposal and it's almost like they are banking on McCaffrey to keep on shouldering the load.

You may be right thinking Newton is just not there mentally or physically.

College football bowl schedule. Nirvana. . .

I might even try to make the Redbox Bowl, Oregon vs. Michigan St.

This could be a record year for firings.

Watching football preview and analysis shows during the week, no one was expecting these. People thought this was going to be a poor week for competitive games.

Tomlin was pissed off in his press conference. Interesting game - Rothlisberger and Rivers were same draft class.

The Dolphins beating the Patriots on a double lateral, the-louder-you-scream-the-faster-they-go, final play TD was the highlight of the season thus far.

Sourpuss Brady's face was gold!

Bears over the Rams... that was a good win. If Chicago ever needed validation about being a contender, they didn't have to worry.

And the once mighty Steelers falling to the fucking Raiders.... jeez!

I'm not sure The Rams can ever play that badly again - if they were to meet in the playoffs, the Rams will beat them.

Brady, Gronk and Belichick. I hate all of 'em. They're good players, but I don't like 'em.

It was a small victory for Raiders' fans during a dismal season. Glad it was in Oakland though. The Steelers and Panthers are sure falling off the map.

Agreed.

Vic Fangio is the Bears' defensive coordinator. He was with the Niners during Harbaugh's tenure. He's a hall of fame worthy coach.

We have the bizarre possibility of The Browns winning the division!

Well, let's see. The Ravens play the Bucs, Chargers, and Browns, which could be 2-1 or 1-2. I'd say 1-2.

The Steelers play the Pats, Saints and Bengals, and I'd say 1-2, maybe 0-3

The Browns play the Broncos, Bengals and Ravens and I'd say they go 2-1 or 3-0 if they're lucky.

It's entirely feasible for the Steelers & Ravens to go 1-2 (or worse). It's also very likely the Browns go 2-1 or 3-0.

It may be very very tight.
