All three are good. The Seahawks are blowing stuff up though - fired offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and offensive line coach, Tom Cable, former HC of Raiders, and generally well respected. I heard something yesterday that the Seahawks have gone from highest paid offensive line to lowest paid. And they blame Cable?

Full on rebuild mode. D is done. Legion of shite now. I really feel for Wilson, wonder if he’d like to play in LA the year after next?

I will pay for Jumper K and Diamond Dog's tickets if they dress like they're going to sit in the "Black Hole" for the Raiders/Seahawks game.

Saints/Vikings too. Turns out the game one win by the Jags wasn't a fluke.

So we reach the remarkable stage whereby we are two games away from seeing a Superbowl contested by two of the teams who played at Wembley this season.....

For the Vikings game, they had a contest where the winner had to write in and tell why they were a big Vikings fan. I young woman wrote in for her grandmother who was 100 years old, named Millie, and who'd been a Vikings fan since the league expanded in 1961. Her first playoff game ever.

They are now calling the Vikings win the "Hail MIllie" game instead of the Hail Mary in honor of her.

What the hell was Williams for the Saints doing on that final play though? He's ducked underneath the contact with Diggs? Any contact and it's game over. Unreal.

His explanation was he got there early and didn't want to commit pass interference. I know it's easier said than done, but why didn't he slow up as he was in front of Diggs and just bear hug him? Even committing pass interference would've been better, although not great. 15 yards from location and the Vikings could've kicked a field goal with a couple seconds. But still.

And then he falls and trips the only other defender that had a chance to get Diggs. Talk about Vikings luck.

Williams had a good year too. I'll give him credit - he took questions after the game like a man.

I bet Kath is hating life this morning.

Saints now have to decide if they want to keep Brees. He's a free agent.

Two terrific games, nailbiters to the end.
Still, the Patriots look more imperious than ever. I don;'t know if any of these survivors can stop them.

There is a school of thought that says the Jags D matches up nicely with the Pats, with guys able to shadow Gronk on his own. But as good as the Steelers O is, to concede 42 points against anyone does not augur well for a trip to Foxboro at the end of January. And the Pats have got some key people back from injury too.

I think the Pats will win, but don't underestimate the Jags D and they relish being underdogs.

They also take the Bortles jibes as jibes against the whole team.

The NFL London games for 2018 details have just been announced.... I'm happy with the Wembley arrangements but the White Hart Lane 'package' is a fiasco:
a) Seating arrangements not yet known (are they making it up as they go along building the stadium then?)
b) Can't buy them until April
c) Not included in season ticket package
d) Yes you get an advanced pre-sale window but.... no guarantees you'll get seats and you can only get four tickets maximum... what if you've been buying five (or more) tickets for the past few years for the International Series?

Very very disappointing!!

Do the games sell out there? I know Wembley's capacity is huge - more like a college stadium than NFL stadium.

If they do sell out, is White Hart Lane big enough?

Do you think they're holding the seat number down because of the more limited capacity and don't want scalpers to get more involved than they might already be?

I watched snippets of the NBA game last week in London. The O2 where they held it, is around the capacity of most NBA arenas. I know lots of UK soccer stars showed up to see the game, but the attendance didn't look great, overall.

Yes they do Sloop... last year 4 games average attendance across the two stadia (Wembley & Twickenham) was around 80,000 per game.

White Hart Lane isn't built yet but will have a capacity of 61,000 - way down on the other two. And then they compound the problem by putting the Raiders v Seahawks there - sure to be the biggest interest due to the Seahawks recent successes and them being one of the six teams only not to have played in London yet.

I don;t think scalpers are a big issue at NFL games over here - three of the four games this season were sold out by February!

The bit about the NBA is interesting - they only have the one game and the cost is astronomical... cheapest seats set you back north of $85.... that may account for the attendance (though I have no idea if they sell out etc).

That's what cheap seats sell for for Warriors games, but then they're world champs and have four of the top 15 jersey sellers in the league.

I'm going to Santa Cruz this weekend with my son to see the Warriors developmental league, or minor league team, play on Saturday. They play in Santa Cruz, a beach town about 40-45 minutes away. We're going to hang out at the beach boardwalk in the afternoon, see a game, and I have a hotel room 15 minutes walking distance from the arena where they play.
