They have been hammered by injuries.

They have. But most of them weren't all that to begin with.

Makes the NFC East a little more interesting. Dallas is probably out of it, but they have a little life after this.

The Pac 12 championship game was ridiculously good last night. Two legit Heisman candidates in Darnold and Love. And Stanford scored with 37 seconds left to make it a three point game, which USC won, 31-28. The big difference was USC stopping Stanford on four straight plays within the 20, but you gotta hand it to Shaw - he had Stanford go for it on 4th down and didn't play it safe. And then Darnold throws a strike downfield out of the end zone. He is impressive. You gotta love a game with an onside kick.

Wrong team won, but great game.

In other college football news, Jimbo Fisher gets a 10 year, $75 million deal from Texas A&M.

That last play was insane. So close to being sacked in his endzone and he threw a 40-yard dart. What a gun.

Watching the AAC-championship game now, very entertaining and now into overtime. Never seen so many delay of game-penalties working in favor of the penalised team before.

Georgia vs. Oklahoma
Alabama vs Clemson

I think the two best teams are Georgia and Oklahoma and it's too bad one of those teams will go home.

They gotta expand it to eight soon - let the Big 10 and Pac 12 in and any wildcards like TCU, etc.

Can't argue with those four. Wisconsin will be kicking themselves, letting this top four slip with that bad game against Ohio State.
I hope Oklahoma takes the prize, they have been consistently good value but I fear Bama is gonna win it all.

The Vikes came through well last night. If Defence wins Superbowl's, they can't be far away.

Vegas has already set the odds for Alabama second to Georgia, so apparently they agree.

There are a few teams that would be fun if they expanded the pool, Wisconsin one of them.

Russell Wilson is the Seahawks offense.

The AFC West practically defines mediocrity and inconsistence - Raiders, Chiefs and Chargers all tied at 6-6 with the Broncos, a preseason division favorite, at 3-9.

And the Garoppolo era officially began. I put sports related stuff up on Facebook and usually I just have my guy friends respond. I put that up on Facebook yesterday and had 12 of my woman friends like within two minutes.

The Chargers should win that division - they're the only ones playing anything like decent football.

Agreed. They could easily be 10-2.

In a post-game interview, and I love me some Philip Rivers, he said that while he didn't like starting the season 0-4, but they'd lost them so close, that no one gave up.

From the Sporting News yesterday. . .

Lynch missed postgame interviews with reporters because he was randomly selected for a drug test. But of course he couldn’t use such proper terms when apologizing to the media by showing them the notice that stated he was randomly selected.

"It's either this, or that, and I can't afford that. I apologize,” he said. “But if you do not understand what this is, it's when you put your ding-ding sauce out and give them a sample."

The Bengals/Steelers game is always very tough but that got a little over the line a couple of times last night.

LeVeon Bell though - what a RB. Best in the league - and tough as old boots. The way he drilled a couple of the Bengals at the end of the run last night was classic stuff.

Ya think? The Bengals had like 173 penalty yards and a guy was paralyzed. It was nice to see Burfict get his though.

Shazier's report yesterday was much better - but we'll know more today. It looked horrible but was completely 'innocent'... the hit on Burfict was nasty though..... however, if ever a man deserved it.... it was an ugly game though - lots of simmering ongoing battles.... there will, no doubt, be fines and/or bans.

Wow. I love that about the NFL - those locker room interviews you can see the players are still raw and there's much less 'diplomacy' than the garbage we get in our football these days.
