Arsene does - left-back.

Was Brady or whoever was in charge at the time leaving have any impact on the lack of youth players coming through or young players bought improving? While some of us wouldn't want to admit it, it was interesting to watch the arsenal kids play in the opening rounds of the league cup.

Brady was replaced a couple of years ago. I don't think he did a great job.
To be honest just about every area of the club has been underperforming -from the academy, to scouting, to the medical department. The academy has a pretty poor record in producing top quality young players, very few have made it to the first team or gone on to have notable careers elsewhere. We do have a few exciting young talents emerging now though, so perhaps thing are getting better.

It would make sense. But Mahrez to virtually anyone in England makes sense (maybe not Man Utd, he's far too expressive for that).

Looking forward to some last minute swoops, cheeky bids and statements of intent before the window slams shut!

Latest reports are Chelsea for 45m. I'd have loved him at Arsenal.

I see him ending up at Chavski for some reason, no idea why, probably won't happen.

The whole thing is absurd. We bid 30m at the beginning of summer, so he's somehow managed to improve threefold over the summer.

But it's becoming clear players don't want to go to Arsenal.

Daniel Levy, eh? Cashes in on wantaway wing-back whose position is covered and a failed centre-half, gets in two centre halves (ready-made international and prospect) and an international right back with a reputation to restore for a bit less, and fingers crossed that will help finally to provide a (proven) back-up striker in Llorente: plus, he still wants to add a 24-year-old international midfielder (and I wouldn't put it past him to claw that money back by selling on Janssen and even Sissoko).

Aaron Ramsey less than complimentary about the AOC move on Twitter.... #shambles.... of course that's his nickname and I'm sure Ramsey never intended it to be taken any other way
