He's nothing like as bad as Bendtner, although he is a little immature.
We're meant to be getting the Palermo keeper. What he's like I don't know..I don't really trust AW when it comes to goalkeepers. I was crying out for us to buy Nauer or Lloris years ago..at a time when they were still gettable.
Yes he is a very good goalkeeper - on pure technique, he is one of the best that I see in the league, and his command of the penalty area is rare for someone so young, particularly considering that he's again often playing behind a makeshift defence (and he beats someone like De Gea or Mignolet here hands down). I'd agree that he was perhaps given too much responsibility too young, but considering Cech and Hart had bad years last year, and De Gea and Lloris only found their feet midway through it, I don't find many keepers in the Premiership who are better than him.
Ego is usually a very good thing for a keeper, in fact it is critical - and no way is it out of control like someone like Bendtner. Actually the one weakness that I seemed to see in Reina was a lack of one - he seemed to dwell on things, question himself, occasionally - even if I still think he was a great goalkeeper. I think in Szczesny you have exactly what Utd have in De Gea - and you essentially got him for free, or, well, developed him.
