That lad who ran on the pitch looked about 12.

That would make a lifetime ban even more effective as punishment, then.

GMP have confirmed that the coin that hit Rio Ferdinand was in fact a Euro and not a pound coin. Apparently City fans have no further need for them.

The latest installment in the highly entertaining Balotelli soap opera. This guy makes Tevez look like a total professional. It beggars belief that Mancini is risking so much by continuing to keep faith with him, and it might well be his undoing. This should be the last straw, but you can never tell with City

Much ado about nothing. I think Mancini is a bit of a hot head too - and that doesn't always sit wel with certain players. Of course, we need to get the full story but, I'm guessing, the press conference will say it was a heated exchange but everything has been resolved.

Mancini seems to get himself involved in a lot of scuffles, but I've yet to see him win one

In isolation probably, but Balotelli is a disruptive influence within the club and it's not as if he justifies it with what he does on the pitch (unlike arguably Tevez). Mourinho said he was "unmanageable" and I really wonder why City bother.

It seems they still manage to overcome these things though - I've rarely seen so much turmoil at a club as Man City had last year, and yet they still came away with the title. It's a testament to their resilience but also to the fact that they don't quite handle things in the normal way over there.

You could argue they're underachieving currently though with what they have at their disposal. I agree it'll all be forgotten about if they win the title again however.

This is just a cleverly orchestrated smoke screen to draw the press' attention away from the weekend signings of Messi and Ronaldo.

He's a liability though and has underperformed to the extent that with Aguero's hamstring it means we have two fit forwards. Entertaining yes, effective no. Get rid in the summer.

That's a great clip - Mourinho himself comes across very well - it's rare you see these big managers so relaxed and open. I can imagine that Ferguson could tell some fantastic anecdotes as well after a couple of whiskies but I've never really seen him drop his guard in that way.

No brainer. Should have played K Toure like they did before Christmas in a few games which worked out well. Milner should have started. Nasri was anonymous, I don't think I saw him touch the ball. So only themselves to blame really. And United are 1-0 up currently.

I think a bit more credit should go to Southampton rather than saying how poorly City played. Apparently they played just as well at Old Trafford a week or two back and deserved a draw at least.

As one Saints fan said on Talk Shite this morning, how come the fans of each team who get beat by Southampton claim that it was their worst performance of the season etc.
