Tommy Docherty RIP

Postby ` » 31 Dec 2020, 23:21

Like him or loathe him and his management style, "The Doc" was one of football's great characters.

Always loved the story about how he put down Scotland's 7-2 tonking at the hands of England being down to
too many Celtic and Rangers players in the Scotland team in a game played with an orange ball:

"The Rangers players would nae kick the ball, and the Celtic players would nae touch it when it came their way".
