This is happening to me, too. I've re-started using Firefox.

Are you running any add-ons? If so remove them - they're stored in the Library/Input Managers.
Safari 5 introduces a proper mechanism for add-ons. Previous ones just used a hack to get them to work; one of the faults with this hack is that it breaks badly whenever Safari gets an update.

I'm just downloading the latest version and hoping that it'll sort it if I re-install. Interestingly the website assumes you have Snow Leopard, which I don't. Perhaps there's a compatibility issues with the latest update making such an assumption.

Yup. I'm delaying the install as I have some stuff I want to do before rebooting the machine. I'll report back.

Didn't make any difference. I'm sticking to Firefox for now and not sweating it.
