For several days now, I have been unable to get my Virgin account email on my iPad, getting a message saying 'IMAP.virginmedia server not responding. Check settings' the out going server seems fine.
I have checked my settings but the only one I can see is my email address which is fine.
Any ideas as to how to resolve this, please? It's pretty inconvenient as this is my main e mail account and it is a pain booting up my ancient PC just to read emails.
If anyone has any info, could you please express it in lingo suitable for a two year old?

I know it's a cliché but have you tried turning it on and off again?
It might just need to reset itself if Virgin have been messing about with stuff their end.

Yeah, did that John, thanks. I let the battery drain completely, too. It's been a week now - think I'd better contact Virgin.
