Firefox problems

Has anyone else had problems with Firefox recently? I'm finding it can consume huge amounts of memory and processor resource lately, and it sometimes gets to the stage where it simply stops responding.
He's a simpleton. 200 years ago they wouldn't have let him milk a cow.

I've not had this issue. But on the Mozillazine help forum, others have said that unchecking Hardware Acceleration is a help:
