Usually repairing or replacing such a part yourself is tricky, if not impossible. The button will most likely be a custom component, so the only means of acquiring a replacement will be to canibalise another Nano, and that may not always be practical.

There are some specialised iPod repair companies out there who may be able to help.

Same thing's happened to mine. I saw a fix on YouTube but it was way too wonky for me. One comment I read was that the guy chucked the thing into a drawer and left it there for some time and after a while the button un-jammed itself and now it is working again. So mine is in a drawer and a month or so after the on-off button quit it still hasn't fixed itself.
