Oh shit. III, I Robot, Khatru, Echoes & Ice vs PT, Incantations, Hoenig, Awaken and Motorway City? Those 10 would be my winning list right there.
I'll need to study those list on the inside of my eyes first.
Good night!

Again two superb lists!!
And again, as always difficult to make a choice.
Some great tracks including - Focus III and Velvet Green from the first list and Musical Box and Michael Hoenig from the second
One has the edge for me and that is [Sorry B]

Re: Prog Cup: Round 1, Match 6.
this choosing gets PROGESSIVEly worse...
(See what I did there?)
after some delibaration however, purely down to its use of a Canuck phenomenon and usage of some newish choices - I'm gonna vote B
what a beaut of a hawkwind track - I had it on Blue vinyl and within 6 weeks it deteriorated, sounded like Brock was frying some bacon up on the quieter tracks
I am enjoying this - thanks to everyone involved - even Dr Trumpy Trousers

Two great lists, although A looks like one we've had already, it floats my boat a bit more than B, despite the lovely Marillion track, plus goodies by Yes, Genesis and Mike Oldfield..... B I think it's Hoenig and Ayers that blew it for you.

A is a bit "textbook," but B has Rush.

more dilemnies. yep, i applaud B for its claptrap (good anathema, good marillion, killer tree, yumyum)... and xanadu is my fave rush song.
but as in the previous match methinks, A is just truer to my school overall, with a few more genuine unbeatables.

It’s very hard to choose against a list that includes Xanadu and, particularly, the glorious Awaken, but I’m going to have to, because A is so close to me that I had to check it wasn’t my list! I’m especially pleased to see Take A Pebble included here, because it’s a perfect prog song.
