Re: Ray's Photos
Well, bully for me, I got a few more scans cleaned up for your delectation: part two wanders about mainly (I think - maybe entirely) in Somerset in the autumn of 1983, while part one is shimmeringly up to date in mid-April this year, and features a pair of attitudinous ovines who failed entirely to fear my neotenous-wolf-on-a-string companion...
Whites
The Baaadass Boyos
Eyes and Ears
vanguard
Having cone through their repertoire of poses, the guys finally got downwind of dogchops and fled.
But they weren't the only pair of woolly flaneurs on the path
What Do You think of it So Far?
Welcome Back
Can dimly remember planting one of these striking primula-type thingies a few years ago, but there's a tribe of them now, showing out through April then fading back into the border around mid-May
Tomorrow (and for the foreseeable future, frankly) more growing stuff

Re: Ray's Photos
Part two
A Lert
Young Toots. That blue-purple splodginess on her nose is damage to the slide I coudn't get rid of. Sorry girl
Cat Camo
Tallulah (obvs not my Tallulah, as yet unborn; this one is a sister - or maybe daughter - to Pussa and belonged to friends of Chip in Crewkerne) does her best to merge with the ornaments on their window-sill
Meet
Baler
This must be some kind of Museum of Somerset rural life, probably near Crewkerne, but it's all gone from my memory
Erm...
This completely inexplicable photograph of nine bewildered penguins may have fallen in here from outer space.
Steps
Got an idea this may be Wells cathedral. Long hand-held exposure accounts for the shakiness
Golden Glasto
Unmistakeably the Tor, but where from, no idea
tomorrow, still baffled, back in London

Re: Ray's Photos
In part one today, assorted flaneurs, dogs and one very stoned and/or tripped out person. Business as usual in the tail end of
1983 – or, just possibly, if that groaning fridge was part of a Xmas stash, the beginnings of 1984.
Urbane
TT rocks the scarf indoors look
Her Dampness
Going Out
Wow, Man, I Feel I Could Fly
Take Off
Take the Edge Off
tomorrow, more DFs and me in a pinny

Re: Ray's Photos
Part Two
In the recent series, people rarely appear. Here, in the archive section from early 1984, there are nothing but pics of people, and the occasional animals
Kicker Conspiracy
Always intrigued in these pics in the Mansions to see the sleeves of the records at the front of the stacks
Tricoteuse
Rite
Borrowed Pinny
Cooking at Mart and Deb's
Pancake Day
The ingredients reveal that this can only be Shrove Tuesday (or thereabouts) in 1984
Work Station
Tomorrow, still doing it.

Re: Ray's Photos
Part three
As I said yesterday, we are at the end of the huge archive file of 82-84 (799 shots), and these last are the first from the first holiday Chip and I went on together, in Fownhope, Herefordshire.
No pictorial evidence, but I noticed when walking back to the rented cottage one evening that a neighbour's lights were on, and curtains open: there were several golden discs on the wall. Turned out to be the family home of the Pretenders' drummer, Martin Chambers.
Dark Shine
Big Business
A Hereford bull in Herefordshire. How apt
Along the Wye
And why not?
Tractor Meet
Sylvan Stroll
Next time, something different, but not sure when. Think I'll take at least the weekend off: masses to do in the garden,
about 40 new plants to pot up for a start, so it will be difficult to get scaning and editing done: plus I only have about a
week or so of April to put on here, so in severe danger of emulating the oozlum bird...

Re: Ray's Photos
Still not sure what I'm going to do next in the archive line, but until I do, some random collections of scanned prints: I always took prints alongside transparencies, but they took a back seat from the late 70s, when I discovered slides, and the early 90s, when Chip's aversion to slide shows meant I tended to take prints of anything we shared. Part Two is back last month in Sandford.

Re: Ray's Photos
Part Two
So, excited by forecasts of wall to wall sunshine, we set off from our home in the south-east of Mid-Devon for the big bad surfer beaches of the North-West. Glorious drive in the sunshine until we finally arrive at the beach; there is a sea-fret, and it just does not go away. Visibility down to 50m or so, and its about three-four hundred metres to where the breakers are rolling in. Lots of pictures were wrecked because the camera could not handle the mist and the autofocus went into deep sulk. But still there was fun and some good pics to be had, vide:
