Re: Ray's Photos
Today, in part one, a trip to Bournemouth for the hell of it, apparently, going with Chip's friends Pete and Becky, and staying at a flat owned by relatives of the latter, around half-term, so Octoberish. The flat is high up in a clifftop block at the west end of town. The weather is pretty rubbish most of the time, cold and wet,but I manage to get out with my camera in some sunny intervals.
When we Were Young
Outlook
Pier, No Pressure
Another Morning
That's Pete, of ...and Becky
Poole Side
Across the Bay
That smudge on the horizon about two-thirds to three-quarters of the way across is Portland Bill. I think
Bournemouth by Night!
Sunny Period
Becky
It might be Chip...
Turned Out Nice Again
Back to London and Brighton next

In part one, from the beginning of March, some birds enjoy the emergency supplies and dog, as usual, enjoys life

Re: Ray's Photos
Part Two
Its the autumn of 1982, the weather is starting to bite, and Chip has just moved from her council flat in Queen's Park to the
house her half-sister bought just two or three minutes walk from me in Cricklewood.
Wrapped Up
Billy back from a chill, muddy frolic with discs in St Anne's Well Gardens
Bath Time
Moving Day
C chills at the Mansions with her sister's dogs Tosca and Butch
Unimpressed
Pussa pissed off to be moved from the only home she had known up to this point
Transplanted
Faun
Tomorrow, up against the editing...

Re: Ray's Photos
Well, it's pissing down outside, so no gardening jollities. The upside is that some photo editing did get done, so Saturday's fix is in.
Part one, late 82 and a maximum random selection

I don't remember that jacket at all

Haven't a clue who these well-scrubbed young people are (for some reason I suspect Morrisry) or where, though I have a vague notion it's Bristol cathedral and may well be thoroughly out of sequence
Him Off the Telly
A Blessing
Spats
A stray kitten that found its way into the house. Very soon she would have a single kitten, Sprog, who would go on to beget in turn the blessed Tallulah
Kiki
Chip's baby sister, with one of many cats
On Piano...Pussa
Unhooded
No idea whose long-case clock this is. Maybe Kiki's
53 New Oxford Stree
A favourite shop. For looking at, not buying in

Re: Ray's Photos
As threatened, 3 March and the snows' retreat in Part one: yet another visit to West Wales in Part Two.
Part one today is brought to you by the colours green, grey, white, and brown
Stripes
The Southern Hills
Verdict
Swollen by Melt-Waters
Creedy Bridge only just keeping the road above water
Rude Intrusion
Once was a path
Boldly Going
Blast of Blue
More thaw tomorrow

Part Two
More snow and some new characters as well as the same-olds in West Wales, but first, two pics of the lovely Jackie,
pregnant with her first-born (who is still hanging around the house 35 years on )
Now That's What I Call Bleak
Chancer
The guy in the middle was hoping to make his fortune on the silver market by using precogs. Harrumph
Ahem
Not quite sure what I did to deserve that
The New Girl
Clive got together with Maureen earlier in the year. They are still married. Here's another one
Gallantry
The Old Guy
tomorrow, things get more scenic

Re: Ray's Photos
In Part one today, a walk in the Wilderness (Welsh variety) with Nick the Shepherd and Leaf the sheepdog (but no sheep) in the
autumn of 1982, while there's recent sog and dog in Devon cluttering up Part Two.
Ascending
Across the Dovey
Forestry
The snow capped 'peak' on the horizon is, I believe, Cader Idris
Topping Out
Dark Waters
Slopes
Tumbling
Next time, off to Brighton with Chip

Not sure where we are in the headlong rush through time, but this is definitely Chip and I in Brighton, staying with Mike & Kate

Bill Visits
Bill and Mike were uni contemporaries.I shared houses with them in Faversham, Canterbury and London at one time or another in the 1970s, but they rarely got together when living a few hundred yards apart in Hove. The vase of daffodils on the table suggest we might now be in the early spring of 1983

Part one begins with a trip to Kew Gardens. Chip's mother is visiting from Scotland. Looks from the vegetation like March or early April, 1983

Re: Ray's Photos
In Part Two, A visit to East Kent with Chip in (I think) the school Easter holidays, so a smidgin over 35 years ago: but first, yet another view of the bay window garden in the Mansions
Growing Panes
I'd apologize, but nah, I went there, I'll take it.
Sunset Over Sheppey (?)
I'm guessing I might be in Whitstable, possibly Herne Bay
Westgate and the Stour, Canterbury
Woolly Mowers
Faversham churchyard was kept in check by one of the nearby farmers putting in his sheep from time to time.
The Creek
When I lived in Faversham (1971-74) the Creek was a desolate mudhole, a wilderness where tripped out studes would frolic. A decade later, it had started gentrifying, and acquiring the odd boat or several. Last time I saw it, maybe a decade ago, maybe more, it was in full waterfront poseur mode.
