Re: Ray's Photos
Well I missed the deadline yesterday, soz. Part one is the usual randomish selection of pics you've seen before, but that have now been tarted up a bit, from last century's archives, while part two is wandering about the general vicinity about three weeks ago. These pics are starting to take on a vaguely elegiacal air, now that I know we're leaving the area. Or perhaps it's just that Autumn feeling. Heigh ho. But first, last century:

managed to make a right-foot flick-up of a roller into my left hand look like I just got whacked in the jewels.

Re: Ray's Photos
Part Two
Around 9 October, and I'm walking into, and around Kirton (as Crediton is pronounced, and these days often spelled, around here).
Lonesome
Sequoia
Wagon and View
'Tarka View', a new residential development to the East of Crediton
Convoy
Overtook these four (there's a dog there somewhere) on the footpath. I was first struck by the contrast of hair, but they were
moving too fast to get a telephoto shot of that. Note the decorous way the blonde is holdingthe poo-bag well away from her.
Full Coverage
Incongruous Thatch
Aslant
Reticulation of the Real
Dead Man's Hand
Cafe Society
Outside Ashton's coffee Lounge. I very much like the reflections in the window.
More from Devon and Mars tomorrow, I trust, as I put a shift in at the editing suite today. You Lucky People

In part one today, more of autumn in Devon from the 10th and 11th of last month, then off to the last century for a scamper through the archives in Part Two
Scatter

Scrap gets a great dane's eye-view of the kiddies' playground
Future Games
This could be me in ten years in another timeline to the one I'm taking. Never seen this guy before, but he was sitting
in 'my' spot overlooking Creedy Beech for the whole half an hour that Scrap and I were hooliganing there. Exchanged
pleasantries, but that was that.
Babes Behind Bars

Turning in the Magic Light

Re: Ray's Photos
Part one today is from 14-15 of last month and takes in glamorous locations in Glamorgan, Devon and Dorset.
In part two, some show and tell material from slides taken in the late 1980s.
Two Retired Academics and a Spaniel Walking Away in Penarth One Sunday Lunchtime
Clive and Phil (combined friendship age of just under 100 years), with whom I'd hoped to spend the weekend in Cardiff
on a pre-celebration of my 70th birthday on the following Tuesday: sadly, circumstances out of all control prevented that.
Yep. ’Tis

The mazy approaches to what was the main gate through the Iron Age defences of Maiden Castle, Dorset
Ditch and Ramparts
As above
Destination
Arrived at our hotel in West Lulworth, Dorset: view from the front of house
Docked
Tomorrow: sunset at Lulworth Cove

Carlton Mansions
Chip and Toots on Hampstead Heath
Toots died at the beginning of 1987. I think this has to be 1986
Smashed
The building at the back housed Tottenham County School, which I attended from 1959, from its foundation in the 19th century
until it moved a mile North in 1962 or 1963. The rubble in the front is from the newly demolished council depot that backed on
to the site. The area to the right was the boy's playground; the building was as a quadrangle, and the girl's playground was in
the middle, where the teachers could keep an eye on them.
