It's in North Wales, close to the border with England. I took a pic of the tourist info board because there's no way I'm remembering that name:

Image
It's a World Heritage site, more than 200 years old, and the longest (1,000feet long) and tallest (126ft) in the UK

It's a fine place for lovers of canals and engineering:

The people descending the steps on the top right give a sense of scale

That narrow walkway would have carried horses, towing barges or longboats

I posted so many because I am having to go to broadband hell, aka my mother's home (to begin the process of clearing out her stuff after she has been taken into dementia care), so I won't be back here until Thursday.
Meanwhile, I would appreciate it if someone would occasionally lob in a comment or two, if only to say,' I am a human', as I'm beginning to think that the steady climb of the views count is down to me posting every day and inciting the botsquadrons. :D

Well, after five days without a post, it looks like I was right about this: :(

Still, nil desperandum and other spells against misery – here's some happy pics:

Missed this, because I didn't peep in for a few days after visiting regularly.

Ok, so here goes my general comment.

Not so fond of the 'nature morte' arrangements, but really think all your landscape, structure, portrait, nature, etc. pics are terrific. And there are always new ones to surprise me. So please, don't give up on us, Ray!
