Today in Part One, continuing with the more recent than usual archive stuff from our time at Kenn, Somerset, 2005-10

Image
Bells
Don't know exactly where this is: Chip loved bluebells, and would think nothing - well, little – of driving
20 or 30 miles to check out a known bluebell wood in season. This one is very much a hit. It is definitely
May, 2007 give or take a couple of years, and probably east Somerset, out towards Shepton Mallet.

Image
Pom-Poms
Angelica, back in the garden in Kenn. We didn't plant this, and I've never grown it before or since, but it''s
pretty spectacular

Image
Whorls
House leeks, also in the garden, or on the walls anyway, and Nothing to Do with Me

Image
Waves
High tide at Clevedon Pill. That red boat with the white top is in so many of my pictures.
A long lens has foreshortened things. The church tower on the spit of land is Woodspring Priory, a couple of miles
away down the coast, Worlebury Hill on the left another two miles away at the south end of Sand Bay, and
the misty bit in the middle is the Quantocks or Exmoor, 15 miles or more beyond that

Image
Mono Mania
Extravagant markings – monocle, saddle, and snout in the sugar bowl – on the cavorting recently-born foal.
More mature equines try to pretend it's nothing to do with them. Kenn, 2008 maybe
