She is also the much younger sister of the guy responsible for the infamous Rupert Bear/Robert Crumb mash-up in Schoolkids Oz. Late 1980s, Bath

It's a one-parter archive edition today, as I'm seriously fed up. London and the West Country, late 1980s (probably)

Oh I won't stop until I have to, Kev – it's the last thing I'll give up on here. But sometimes I'm just not right .
As January has been such a murky month, few pics have been taken, and those mostly of puddles, so a double archive helping. Part one from the mid to late ’80s, and the second from before that. Heigh ho

Re: An image (or two, or three, maybe a dozen. Or more) a day
OK, more of the same: mid to late 80s in part one, earlier in part two
Part one is a bit different, as instead of the usual gallimaufry, there's a single theme. I acquired from somewhere (maybe the library!) a book of inter-war Railway posters, and photographed those that depicted places I thought I knew, for the sake of comparison to my photos, although that fell by the wayside when I realized they were largely fantastical. But bloody lovely in their own right. No need for captions for these, just visions of an England that is long gone or never was
Hotwells and Brunel's suspension bridge, Bristol
Next time, a wedding

Part Two
Happens to be all in West Wales in the spring/summer of 1981, on one of several visits
I was accustomed make each year to old school friend Clive and his family. Except, on this
occasion, I was witness to that family disintegrating in a very messy way (thankfully no pictures of that)
Llewelen
Most BR steam locomotives had numbers with four or more digits, but the three 0-6-0s that worked the Aberystwyth-Devil's Bridge railway were numbers 7, 8 and 9, the first entries in the trainspotters' bibles. I gave up trainspotting in the very early 1960s, but it was still nice to see these guys
The Damp Family
Holly, Matthew and Sarah
Top of the World, Pa
Matthew is held in place by Clive
Budding Up
Blonde
Reflection
Snot and Tonka Truck
Asteroid
Won't be posting tomorrow, as I'm off to That London for a quick hit and git, and won't be back to back until late.

Re: Ray's Photos
Part one, mid to late 80s, part two early eighties...
Marker
Everywhere I ever lived, I got into the habit of taking pictures of more or less the same thing from about the same place at different
times of the year. This curved field boundary is in Mangotsfield, where Chip lived from 1987-90, dating this lot, along with other clues
to about summer of 1988 – except that I can't work out for the life of me where I took the following...
Pool Party
Only Sleeping?
All of the Jim-Jims in this Town
The Murder Mystery
It's a Terrier Thing
Sally presages Scrap in a determined effort to remove sticks from a waterway - this time a weir on the Frome in Eastville Park, Fishponds, Bristol
Rotten Roots
Stapleton church (I think) from Eastville Park (probably)
Marker and Sal
hmm...

Part Two
Back to 1981, and it's a brief interlude in Brighton and London before heading back to West Wales
View from a Room
Which room, I'm not sure...
Palace Pier
Now just a wave-battered skeleton remains, but 35+ years ago it still looks like it could be saved.
Avenue
Gladstone Park, north-west London. This was one of those places often photographed without anything particularly dramatic happening
1,000-Yard Stare
Pretty sure Bill took this with my camera after a hard afternoon's frisbeeing in St Anne's Well Gardens.
Summertime
Back in West Wales. Clive and Sarah now living apart. Other person in the picture is Hazel, Nick's wife
