While part two partakes of the archives, mostly from the late 1980s to the late 1990s, part one is drawn from the last week of last month, and features some of the inhabitants of the stairwell at Rayge Towers...

and indeed now here I am, rattling right along with pictures from the last days of October here in Devon in Part One and - gaspo! – coming to the end of that huge archive file I've been mining for months in Part Two. Have I got a replacement lined up? What do you think?
Anyways, back to the pictures

Disaster
There's been winters since I've moved here that have had no frosts at all. I was hoping for another one of those, to make it easier to move the garden to the new house. I certainly wasn't expecting a hard frost in October – well, we never had one until December before this year, and it brought the garden to a shuddering halt, smacking the fuchsias and dahlias especially hard

Part Two
Discovered another rich vein of archival material, things that were scanned and loaded to photobucket
before I properly learned how to clean, adjust and present the images. I hope that you (assuming you've
been here from the beginning) won't have seen as many of these before. Fewer than usual, this time, as
I got a bit exciteable in part one , and all, I think, from prints made this century

Well, I'm feeling better, and prepared a load of pics from November earlier today, but doing the latter has made me aware that in a grey November, there's nothing to shoot but dying leaves around these parts: nothing to catch the eye indoors, as the impending move means there's not much apart from not particularly photogenic chaos. So part one is a walk with the Scrap on the Shaky Bridge/Upton Hellions route, which is otherwise largely uncaptioned. Part Two, from the archives, is more usual fare from the last quarter century or so in the West Country.
