So the cold I had has turned into bronchitis. Grooh. Not that this makes it difficult to post, but it does get in the way of the editing or of coherent thought, so here's a few more people and animals I know/knew nearly half a lifetime ago, topped off with some deep Devon material from 2013 in a shorter part two

Hi photo fans, and welcome to the Show that Never Ends, but may well pause for a few days. As the more alert may have noticed, I've been struggling with a virus for a while now, and now I've got a mild case of bronchitis – it's gorn to me chest, as my old Ma would say (not me, I'm not as uncouth as she). It's nothing to complain about, really, in the grand scheme of things, but feverishness has a way of messing with my mind. At times, recently, I've been more or less scared silly of losing it, and along with a swirling delirium of daemons there's a whole pack of black dogs circling the homestead. Having the house move fall through has been a huge strain, too, and the sense of powerlessness in the face of a slow tsunami of daunt is overwhelming. Herself (also unwell) and I have already decided to postpone Xmas. Although maintaining this thread is a form of therapy, I feel that stepping away from the interwebz in general for a short while might be a good idea (although I reserve the right to change my mind again ;) ), and hopefully I can return in 2018 refreshed and well, and with a new purpose and sense of delight.
But before I go, some more pix of a life and time that seems as remote to me now as my early childhood did then. It's only a partial picture, a false narrative, as I rarely whipped out my instrument at times of sorrow, greyness, Thatcher and despair. As the song says, reality is only temporary.
But anyway, that's enough hot brain flossifying. Here's some golden ages from the mid 80s to sign off with..

Hi again.
Well, survived that more or less intact.
Forgot to mention back then that the lost camera was handed in to the village shop more than a fortnight after I lost it, and although I'm pretty sure it will never function again, at least I retrieved the memory card and battery. Not that the lost pictures were up to much, but here they are in part one. Part two is back in the 1980s.
