Re: Ray's Photos
In Part One Today, I'm still wandering, captionless, on a mild grey November day...
and then, stone me, if the next day, the sun didn't come out...
More from the brighter side of autumn next time

Re: Ray's Photos
As promised ^^^, more from along the Thames in early 1987 in part one. The usual elegiacal stuff from last month in Part Two
Mother
Westminster, 4.30 in the afternoon, which suggests this might be February
Father
Lambeth Palace
...and the rest from the walkway just below the dome on St Paul's Cathedral, which was open then to the public
North-East
Down River, centred on The Monument
South-East
featuring London Bridge, Southwark Cathedral and the approaches to Cannon Street Station
Westish
Blackfriars Bridge in the foreground, and Waterloo Bridge is the next one along. And yes, that is a sunset in the haze. But I forebore.
Vantage Point
Tomorrow, a brief domestic interlude, then off to Scotland
Second instalment follows a bit later

Part Two
Curry in Bed
Chip and her half-sister had sold the house they shared. C planned to use her share to buy a place of her own with her share, and would move to Mangotsfield, on the outskirts of Bristol in May, but she moved into the Mansions in February with her two cats, but not toots, who died suddenly, and horribly, in January. It was an awful time, a really low ebb in our relationship, but I still kept taking pictures.
Auntie Ciss's Bathroom Cyclamens
They really were magnificent. This in her council flat in Bounds Green
My Chair
My sofa
The feline take-over of the Mansion flat's three-piece suite is complete
And now, off to Dumfries and Galloway. I have completely blanked this visit to Chip's mum in either Kirkbean or Dalbeattie.
I went there in the summer because Joan, diagnosed with lung cancer, was dying, and Chip was looking after her, and again for her funeral, but don't remember the occasion for this, or any of the places pictured, although I suspect we didn't venture far

At this point, the archive inexplicably returns to London for a couple of shots...

Look pretty pleased about it, too. I've still got them, but haven't found a place to display them in the last two houses.

Re: Ray's Photos
As threatened yesterday, further autumn frolics in an increasingly circumscribed world in this post, and a rather fine selection of sunset shots from the Solway coast in Part Two.

In part one, the usual suspects from around the 20th of last month: in part two, a sunset in West Wales nearly 32 years ago,
taken from the hills above Penrhyncoch
Piled
The Beach is Back
All too temporarily, as it happens. Himself celebrates with a stick, me by taking pictures of trees reflected in water. Again.
