Re: Ray's Photos
Part one today has more from Lulworth Cove on the morning of 16 October last, while Part Two is the usual random concatenation of geegaws and inconsequentialities from last century
King of the Castle
A Pair of Jacks
Beach
Boy
Festive
Parked
This dinky little stream, filled with water-cress and running between the road and the residences, is all that is left
of the huge river of glacial meltwater that cut the opening to the sea, and thus created the cove, at the end of the
most recent Ice Age [/geology lesson cribbed off an info board at the site]
Now That's What I Call a Water Feature!
Someone's front garden
Tilt
Did you notice the werewolf in the lumberjack shirt walking past the window?
I didn't when I took it, or edited it. It just kind of appeared. I know it's there, because Ms Thang has confirmed it
Tomorrow, on to Durdle Door

Re: Ray's Photos
Part One today continues to chunter through the photos I took on my birthday - there were loads – while Part Two continues to do its random archive thing, mostly within a year or two of 1990, unless otherwise noted

On our way to Purbeck, stopped at a viewpoint to get a glim at this nature reserve (Dorset heathland is an actual rare
protected habitat, several species unique to it) and Poole Harbour beyond
Tomorrow, we got to church and look at Old Harry...

Re: Ray's Photos
Part Two
Mostly around 1990. Three from Brighton to start
Contre Jour
West Pier
Self-Titled
Palace Pier
Deckchair Jam
...and two taken from the dome of St Paul's Cathedral
Westward with Added Pinnacle
Blocks and Balustrade
Cyclamen
Auntie Ciss's flat, Bounds Green, North London
F'rocious
Tallulah, Carlton Mansions, 1987
Gargoyle Audition
It wasn't until I was cleaning up this picture in an enlarged format yesterday that I first realized how many crows and gulls are festooning the bridge. I originally took it because the bike loitering there so nonchalantly reminded me irresistibly of the Atomic Theory of bicycles adumbrated in Flann O'Brien's The Third Policeman. It's Pulteney Bridge, in Bath.
more from my bright and shady past next time
